San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge
Everyone has seen the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge which is located in San Francisco, the 1.7 miles long 90 feet wide bridge held between two towers held the record for the longest suspension bridge until 1981. It is an iconic and simple picture-Esque scenery which is a must to drive through or to find and hill and just set up a picnic and enjoy the view! When you think of San Francisco, you think of the Golden Gate Bridge by default, so don’t miss out on the chance to wow your friends and show off that you’ve seen its beauty in person.
This is certainly one for the kids, but all the family will enjoy this! Located in Anaheim in California, Disneyland is home to all kinds of rides, shows, games, and fun for all the family- with themed restaurants and hotels all relevant to specific Disney movies. It is always super busy so be sure to book in advance and definitely plan your day, or even better stay a few nights to experience the full magic!
Redwood National and State parks
With trees towering over 300 feet tall, it almost feels like you have been time-traveled to a time with where dinosaurs were roaming around during the Jurassic period. It takes back the element of modernism that everywhere has adapted to and allows us to appreciate the natural setting much more. Some of the trees and plants here are the tallest on the planet and are truly a hidden gem that needs to be discovered. This would be an ideal adventure for families that want to go on a hike and explore the wildlife that the national park has to offer- even better, why not hire bikes or go camping?
Similar to Disneyland, this amusement park and movie studio allow you to immerse yourself into famous movie scenes in the form of crazy roller coasters, simulator rides, and super realistic shows. This park is most definitely one of the most popular attractions in California and is perfect for a family day out with the teens! They even provide a special gift shop with exclusive merchandise and items to show off to all your friends and family.
Venice beach is one of Los Angeles’s most popular beaches, stretching a massive 3 miles along the coast, why don’t you kick back and relax on this amazing sandy beach? It is perfect because it is a sandy beach, I mean who wants all the rubble and stones and shells you get on some beaches? They don’t exist here! During the summer periods, the beach fills up with all sorts of performers and locals vibing and doing their own thing such as skating, swimming, sunbathing, and even working out! There is a special section called Muscle Beach, dedicated to bodybuilders to pump some iron in the steaming hot sun!
This lake was formed around 2 million years ago during the ice age period, it is one of the largest lakes in the world. It is surrounded by massive pine trees and magnificent mountains to explore, it offers so much to tourists all year around. In winter you can even go skiing and snowmobile riding, and in the hotter seasons, sailing kayaking, and jet skiing.
Relax and take a break!
California legalized cannabis for recreational use in 2016, so why not head out to some local shops and try it out for yourself? I use this store to get my cbd vape cartridges and it is really good if you want to relax and take a break from all the adventures you have experienced in a busy and tourist full California.
Big Sur Coastline
If you like walking along the coastline then you will love the central coast of California, stretching a massive 90 miles long, it is one of the most scenic routes in the world. Take a stroll or even do a driveby, you will fall in love with nature, just like the other 3 million drivers each year who visit to take a photo of one of the nicest places in California!
